Stop being dressed up, start being dressed down: How to create a style that expresses you.
How do you find space in a world of rapidly changing trends?
Every day we are bombarded with new trends that promise to be the key to the perfect look. Instagram is teeming with fashion tips, and new seasons quickly bring new guidelines – yesterday beige coats, today neon dresses, tomorrow… who knows? It’s easy to feel overwhelmed, lose your style and end up with a closet full of clothes that don’t fit us.
But the truth is – you don’t have to follow every trend to look great.

Trends pass, style stays
Fashion should be a tool for self-expression, not a dictate. The key to true confidence in clothing is simplicity – timeless cuts that accentuate your figure, and clothes made of the highest quality materials. Why? Because you are the one who gives them character. Your personality, your favorite accessories, the memories hidden in the jewelry you wear – it all makes the styling unique.
Repetition in fashion: The key to creating your style
The truth is that the more often you wear the same clothes, the more people begin to associate you with them. Repeating elements of your closet and styling is a key step in building a recognizable style. This makes you an icon of your own image, and your clothes become a natural extension of your personality.

There is nothing more stylish than being identified with a particular item of clothing or a distinctive styling scheme, such as elegant suits, favorite colors or accessories. Look at fashion icons such as Karl Lagerfeld – the great designer was recognized by his gray hair tied up in a ponytail, black glasses and leather gloves. It was repetition and consistency that made his style unique.
Your personal style develops when others begin to recognize you by your choices. Only when your clothes and accessories become your trademark can you say that you have achieved mastery of your own style.
Less is more
You don’t need a closet full of clothes to look great. Invest in a few key closet items that will be the base of your style. An elegant dress, a well-tailored jacket or perfectly fitted pants – these are the things that are the foundation of any style.

Let the accessories tell the rest: your favorite handbag, a ring from your mother, a bracelet from a vacation. It’s the little things that have your story, that make the styling “yours”.

Simple exercises to help you develop your style
Go shopping, but do a test of patience.
Go to the stores, try on different clothes, but… don’t buy anything right away. Give yourself a few days to think about whether you really want the items. If you still think about them after a few days, you can go back and buy them. This will help you avoid the FOMO effect and unnecessary spending.
Limit fashion content on Instagram before shopping.
Before you go shopping, try to limit your viewing of online fashion inspiration for a few days. These are often the ones that influence our impulsive buying decisions. This will allow you to more consciously determine what you really need.
Do a review of your closet before you add something new.
Take, for example, the color maroon, which is currently fashionable. Before you decide to buy clothes in this shade, check your closet. If you don’t have anything maroon in there, consider whether it’s actually a color you like and wear, or just a temporary fascination. Often, clothes that have not made it into our closet so far do not fit our style for a particular reason.

Fashion should not stress you out. You decide what you wear and how you feel in it. Don’t let fad trends dictate the rules of your closet. Your style is your rules.
Start with quality – choose clothes that support your confidence and express who you are. At ANIKLOVA, we believe that every woman deserves the space to be herself.
